SAVE THE DATE - SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th Roamin Angels CAR SHOW!

Drive and Survive™

Drive and Survive™ Postponed Indefinitely. Drive and Survive™ Friends…I got home last night only to discover we had lost another awesome teen in a driving accident. Alyssa Soheda, a 2019 Bear River Grad, was killed on Hwy 49 after crossing into traffic and suffering a head on collision. It causes me great personal pain then that I must announce the indefinite postponement of the 2020 “Drive and Survive” event. I know I speak for the many Roamin Angels, Community Businesses and Volunteers that stage “Drive and Survive” every year. The…

Bright Tail lights

Brighter Tail Lights When I was fixing up Colleen’s ‘56 Chevy, one of the things I wanted to do was make the stop/tail lights brighter. Second, I ordered #1157 “Brite Light” from one of the speed shops. These ‘babies’ are bright! (50/8 watt). Unfortunately, when all the lights were on and you hit the brakes, the thermo-breaker…

Oildale – The Movie

Saturday Night at the Movies – January 18: “OILDALE” From Mike H.: We had somewhere between 350 and 400 people. Ray Yedding and team pushed out about 300 bags of popcorn. Once again, we are so appreciative of the Roamin Angels members who joined us. I’ve been surprised once again in the last two weeks by members who also turn out to be Vets. You stand back and look at it and it’s logical. Hard workers, dedicated, honest, American. From Diane B.: What a wonderful movie! And to think that it…

A Real Steal

While Jim R. didn’t physically steal his 1958 Buick Special, he did get it as the result of a crime. The second owner, who had bought it in  1959, had been in prison for a long stretch when his mother got tired of storing it in her garage and had made him sell it in 1989.  Jim saw the ad and went to see it. It had a 364 CID “nailhead” V-8 engine with a two-barrel carb and a Dynaflow auto trans. For options it had power steering and brakes,…
