In spite of the smoky day and changes in how and when things were to happen – like the fairgrounds being a animal sanctuary because of the Mesquito fire – the Roamin Angels Car Show was a wonderful success. Kudos and Announcements – June 2022 What’s Going On and Who’s Doing It Saturday, June 25th, the Roamin Angels put on the first Auto Swap Meet which was held at the Nevada City Elks Club.  Thanks to the hard work of Jim and Kriss S., 25 vendor spaces were sold.  People walked away with a lot of “cool stuff”.  The American Legion had a shuttle from the The Rood Center to the Swap meet to take care of overflow parking.  The Elks Club opened their bar for libations and offered…

2021 Cruisin the Pines Car Show Voting Result Karin R. reported that the membership voted as follows: We had a total of 50 responses to the Car Show survey.  The votes were as follows: YES 12 NO 37 Neutral   1 Per our by-laws, the Board makes the final decision as to whether we have a car show or not.  The next step was for the Board to either agree with the majority or not. The Roamin Angels 2020 Cruisin the Pines Car show has been cancelled due to the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic. This year has been a very difficult one for our car club. As you all know, we have been holding our famous car show at the fairgrounds for many years and without any warning only a few days after the 2019 show we learned that our date had been changed by the fairgrounds. Kars 4 Kids Car Show November 2, 2019 Ron C.won an award for his 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL. Congrats Ron! Big As Fundraiser for the Toy Drive In spite of the power outages, chilly weather, and without the Roamin Angels Cruise In, Big As was able to generously give the club a $1500.00 donation!  We also made $121.00 on the raffle. About 600 American and Foreign cars, boats, trailers and motorbikes displayed at the 20th Annual Cruisin the Pines Car Show! It was eye candy galore… And then if that wasn’t enough – Mr. Peanut and the Peanut Mobile, the Bumblebee 8ft Transformer, there were race cars courtesy of Riebes on display too! There were wonderful arts and craft vendors, an art show and commercial vendors to shop at. The Nevada County Fairgrounds was transformed to the ultimate Northern California Car Show Extravaganza!
