It was a beautiful day this year as the Roamin Angels teamed up with the Marines’ Toys for Tots and the Salvation Army for our 32nd annual Toy Drive. This year we also added the Nevada County Food Bank. Our Toy Drive location was at the McKnight Center and the site of the Saturday Cars & Coffee. Marty Souter of the Roadents helped to coordinate the layout in conjunction with the group that comes for Cars and Coffee. There was music provided by Mel’s Diner in Auburn and raffles and all sorts of fun as we gathered toys and donations for this Christmas season.
Between the Toy Drive Stations on November 27th and the main Toy Drive on December 4th, we raised over $3000 in monetary donations plus all of the toys that were collected.
