Veterans Come Together Thanks to Community and Music Free movie night to watch “Oildale” a movie about Vets returning from the Middle East to Bakersfield, meeting up with a WWII Vet sharing problems and then getting them fixed with the help of Country and Western Music. Veterans Memorial Building, Doors open at 4pm, Movie at 5pm. Tickets are free and must be picked up beforehand at Riebes, Simply Country, Big “A” and Real Graphic. Snacks and goodies available. It’s About the Kids The 30th Annual Toy Drive for Nevada County Families Saturday, Dec. 7th at McKnight Crossing/K-Mart parking lot from 9am until 2pm. Bring a new unopened toy or blanket or jacket. Cruise of Classic Cars from Savemart parking lot near B&C by 9am, limited to the first 25 cars this year, per GVPD. Contact Pam to sign up to be in the parade. It’s a Roamin Angels’ Magical Christmas Party Held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 at the Nevada City Elks Lodge. Entertainment provided by Mr. Illusion & Chris Crockett begins after dinner at 6:30pm. 2019 Roamin Angels’ ‘Cruisin the Pines’ Car Show PHOTO GALLERIES This 20th Annual car show is the Roamin Angels’ biggest fundraiser and the show is staffed by Roamin Angels member volunteers. The proceeds from this event are donated to local community organizations, provide auto scholarships to local high school kids, fund the annual toy drive in conjunction with the Salvation Army, several other projects.
