Kudos & Announcements – January 2021

From The Editor: As this new year begins, I’d like to take a moment and reflect on the past a bit. Creating an interesting and informative newsletter every month can at times be a challenge. But thanks to those folks who submit photos, stories, commentary and things of interest every month, this newsletter is a joy to create and I hope, is fun to read.

The newsletter, in part, is about our club but more its about the people who are a part of this wonderful and diverse club. Through this newsletter, we have connected with like-minded folks from all over the world. I know that I am sometimes in awe of the power of this small town car club’s newsletter and it’s wide reaching website.

It is my hope that you will continue to submit things that you think that other people might be interested in…your car projects, a story you wrote or read, a funny cartoon you saw, a photo you took. Even if you think you can’t write, I promise to work with you and edit what you want to submit. Old photos, stories about your first car and how you got it…sharing your histories bring us all a little closer and reminds us of where we’ve been.

Thank you to all of you who have shared in the past and to all of you who are inspired to share in the upcoming year.  Life is a fabulous journey when you share it with friends.

With sincere thanks from your club newsletter editor and web director,

Diane Blakley

Zoom Bingo Winners

At the Zoom Get Together on December 16th,  three games of Bingo were played virtually. The three winners were:

  • Pat G. – A club plaque (donated by Tralee D.)
  • Ruth H. – $20 Gift Certificate to Big As
  • Sue C. – $20 Gift Certificate to Big As

It was agreed by all who attended that it was a different and fun type of ‘meeting’ and it was definitely exciting! The Zoom Get Togethers will start up again in February. Maybe we’ll figure out a new game to play…maybe Farkle? Join us!
