It’s been a while, but… we now have a new place and we had a great car show, so lets celebrate! Rose and Chuck have been doing their research, talking to previous party organizers and pleading with our Board to give us a nice party budget… and they did. Thank you board members.
A VERY GOOD SKIT: You have never seen anything quite like this. You’re going to find out what’s going on at Smokey Joe’s Cafe, and it’s not all that nice. You may want to get out of your chairs and move in close. Please; no flash photography.
THE TOP DJ: This will be a pleasant surprise. We reserved the most in-demand DJ in northern California. He’ll make you want to get down and boogie. He’s also an excellent singer.
THE BEST WINE: You know that CK Mondavi is no joke! Each table is to get one magnum of CK Mondavi’s finest silky Chardonnay and one magnum of Mondavi’s well-cellared Cabernet. Chuck taste-tested the Chardonnay “which I usually don’t like, but this particular Mondavi one tasted so smoooth and silky that I had to smack my lips and hold on with both hands.” One sip and you too will say, “gee-mo-nelly.” The Club is picking up the tab for the Mondavi wine. We seriously recommend a designated driver.
#1 MOST RECOMMENDED CATERER: We pulled out all the stops to hog-tie the Elks most recommended caterer “Bills Chuck Wagon” featuring your choice of Roast Beef or Chicken with an appetizer, salad, side and coffee. We’ll have an Elks bartender on duty at the no-host bar, if you want soft or hard drinks. Coffee, water and wine are free.
Note: Seats are limited, so get your tickets now. See below. Please make sure your email address is correct as listed in our green roster booklet. If not, let us know. Your ticket depends on it.
Adult Roamin Angels members come first. Non members must wait until Nov. 16th to apply for tickets. Each person needs a ticket to ride which is 34 bucks a plate. There’s no charge for the wine or anything else (except from the Elks bartender). Everyone that occupies a seat must buy a ticket for $34.
HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS: This is a two-step process. Send in your check for $34/plate made out to Roamin Angels, and mail to PO Box 1616, Grass Valley, CA 95945, then contact Chuck or Rose at 530 446-6996 (recorder) or tra.ka@sbcglobal.net, or text 530 680-2714 to get a seat and an e-ticket with an ID via email. Please specify beef or chicken. Chuck and Rose do not handle checks.
The ticket cutoff date is November the 22nd, which is the caterer’s deadline. Thus, tickets cannot be purchased later than that, nor at the door.
