This coming Monday Legion Post 130's Jason Tedder has arranged for Lou Conter to tell his story. Lou is one of two surviving crew of the Arizona. What an honor to have Lou as a fellow Post 130 member. Appearing also will be Stan Zabka and Frank Lujan World War II veterans available to tell their stories.![]()

Toys for Tots and the Roamin Angels Toy Drive Teams had quite a successful day this past Saturday. Thank you Community! We'll be out again this next Saturday ...December 5th.... at the same locations same times. Start your day with Babs and Jamie at the Cars and Coffee, SPD center GV and them head out to the many donation locations. It's all about the kids folks!!!!

You know the problems we've faced this year. Problems are meant to be overcome. God has yet to make a mountain than man can't conquer. The Marines? The Roamin Angels? Big "A"? Riebes? The Salvation Army? Look at all the supporters joining the team. We will make sure everyone has a great Christmas. Join in! Make a donation! So it can be matched. Locations and more details soon.

At 2pm Friday the weather channel had it raining Saturday. Judy from Big "A" was by as well as Don the Alta Sierra Home owners president so they drew the "Poker Cruise" winner Friday. Congrats to Joe Weathers '69 Barracuda for winning the $200. Posters are underway and will be ready soon. See you Saturday at Cars and Coffee.
We'll try and announce the winner at Cars & Coffee this Saturday. It's supposed to rain.....and we need the rain!!!.....so if it does we'll go to plan "B" and notify the winner by phone. It's a Win-Win situation. Had a great turn out. Raised some money for the merchants and the GVDA. Stay tuned. More adventures in the works.

Grass Valley's own Lou Conter, one of two surviving members of the USS Arizona attack at Pearl Harbor December 7th 1941, is having his 99th birthday. Arrangements have been made to fly a drone over Saturday's Cars and Coffee so we can be videoed wishing Lou the best and honoring his service. ![]()

Bring an American Flag and be ready to show one of the Best Generations the honors he deserves. The video will be presented to Lou on his Birthday the 12th of September.
It's all HIS!!! fault.......that Cars and Coffee every Saturday in the SPD GV parking lot is such a success. Way to go Mr. Coca Cola!
