Roamin Angels 32nd Annual Toy Drive

Roamin Angels Christmas Season 32nd Annual Toy Drive

Saturday, December 4, 8am to 11am. McKnight Crossing during Cars & Coffee

This year the Roamin Angels are again teaming up with the Marines’ Toys for Tots and the Salvation Army for our annual Toy Drive. This year we are also adding the Nevada County Food Bank. Our Toy Drive location is at the McKnight Center and the site of the Saturday Cars & Coffee. Marty Souter of the Roadents is helping to coordinate the layout in conjunction with the group that comes for Cars and Coffee. There will be music and raffles and all sorts of fun as we gather toys and donations for this Christmas season.

A joint meeting was held with the various representatives from each of the organizations involved. Family signups through the Salvation Army are happening online at saangeltree.org. The Toys for Tots will be handling the main allotment of toys for kids. Tom Oates, Marine representatives, said that the age group that they are needing the most gifts for is infants and preteens. The Roamin Angels will be supplying the funds approved by the Board to purchase whatever is needed. Nicole, from the Nevada County Food Bank will be at many of the events raising funds for the Christmas dinners. It will be a joint effort to help as many families as possible for the holidays. Distribution will be at the Vets Hall and will be a drive-through as in the previous years.
