Hot August Nights 2025

Reno NV. August 6, 7, 8: Off to Hot August Nights last week! It’s always a great time for all of us car people. The weather was good and not too hot. Had a  great time but it always seems too short. Just not enough time to get in all of the fun events.

I went for three days, but still didn’t get in some of the events that I wanted to get to. I am going to stay four or five days next year so I can get in a lot more.5 600 cars this year, little less than last year. according to one of the volunteers at the info booth on Virginia Street. The main event center has moved from the Grand Sierra Resort to the University of Nevada which is a much smaller venue. Everything seemed a little smaller this year, not as many vendors and cars. I was at the University  on Thursday and there was about a hundred cars.It was still a great time, and I think the most fun is meeting all the people from all over the country and talking about their cars.

The Grand Sierra is doing a major renovation and won’t be available for Hot August Nights for at least two years. The volunteers seemed to think that it was okay with them and possibly not going back. We’ll see. Tried to get a lot of good pics and brought my new camera which has more bells and whistles than my old Sony… this one is above my pay grade and I am still learning how to use it. I hope the pics are acceptable for your professionally done newsletter and our discerning Roamin Angels readers!
