MISSION STATEMENT: To restore and maintain classic cars and street rods in a way that brings people together, preserves vintage vehicles and contributes to the community.

Better Because of You! (Car Show Update)

Thanks to the 70+ members who attended the first 2026 “Cruisin’ the Pines” planning meeting!
As we relayed at the end of the 2025 show, we had people on the Sunday following that show making inquiries on how they could sign up for the 2026 event. They were telling the truth.

As of the end of February we had 20+ cars already signed up. The majority of those are from areas outside of ours, re: Bay Area, Stockton etc. In the last few weeks we’ve also had inquiries from Vintage campers and the good news is they want to come. According to “Mister Mayor” Christy Barden, the Big Reno camping event, which might have been a conflict, is not, as it turns out.

We are working on checking the viability of adding some potentially great components to the show thanks to Jade, Sergio and the “Defenders”. Stay tuned as we work through the hoops.

Jean and I toured the new Skate Park to get up close and personal with the new venue for our planning.
Again! …one of the interesting remarks made while we visited people skating who, when discovering our affiliation, were talking wishing there was more parking room so they could bring their rods. Gary B., Pat G., Jean and I will meet with the Skate Club to dial in the April 18th  “Hot Boards and Hot Rods” Skate Park Grand opening and lunch. We had volunteers from the Car Show Meeting sign on but we’d love to have you be a part. Your outreach creates amazing results.

NJUHSD was also at our meeting in March. WOW! They are working hard to make Drivers ED a reality. Since that meeting we’ve been approached by other local and State organizations relaying the similar problems and wanting to help because kids can’t/don’t drive. We, Roamin’ Angels are going to do what we can to make Nevada County, NJUHSD and we classic car peeps a Big noise in the State.

The district is staging an open house at Silver Springs High School and inviting us to attend on May 7th. They are hoping to expose these kids to Drivers Ed, Cruisin’ the Pines and us to provide hands-on and up close and personal interface with these cars of ours. See the flyer.

It’s only going to get better because of you.

Mike
