Mel’s Diner Car Show

The Mels Show was a great show especially for the Roamin Angels as our club had a big turn out and we came away with the participation trophy. Gary Blum, Ed and Nancy Johnson, Richard and Pat Gruwell, Steve and Paula Ballard, Bill and Karin Robinson, Pam and Fred Dias, Don Dickerman and Your Roving Reporter, (Hope I didn’t forget anyone) all made sure the Roamin Angels were well represented. It was a lot of fun and Tony and Jim from Mels were very thankful for the loan of pop-ups and tables that the club brought to the show. It was tough in the sun for the volunteers and the pop-up canopies provide needed shade.
As you know, it is a lot of hard work to put on a car show and Tony and Jim did not have the help of four of their regular committee members this year. Many of the Townsmen volunteered to help out and they really did a great job filling in.
It turned out really well. Everyone had a great time and the weather cooperated and it wasn’t too hot.
