Congratulations to this year's Service Award recipients:
Diane B. • Ron C. • Kathy E. • Dave G. • Pat G. • Chuck L.
George M. • Landon S. • Doug and Linda V.

The Member of the Year will be announced at the Annual Dinner in February.

A Success Story from the Roamin Angels SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:
Kyle P., a past scholarship recipient in 2006, used the funds he received to go through and graduate from Wyotech. He currently works for Waste Management as a diesel mechanic. Recently, Kyle got married and is the process of buying his first home.
Now that's a success story to be proud of!

Calling all Roamin Angels : The Autorama is almost here! Feb. 14,15 &16

What a great way to spend part of your weekend and SAVE MONEY TOO!. Dave G. has a great Display of about 20 Roamin Angels trucks that will be representing in the club house along with this years Raffle Engine fresh from the machine shop at Riebes, thanks to Mike W. and Ash R..

If you have not already heard parking at Cal Expo is Ten bucks and it is twenty bucks at the gate (eighteen if you buy your ticket in advance from "OREILLY`S"). However, If you can spend 2 hours helping the Roamin Angels sell tickets for our Raffle Engine, the Roamin Angels will reimburse you Fifteen Dollars for your time and effort. That will still leave you most of the day to cruise around and check out all the Autorama has to offer.

Sign up sheets for the 2 hour blocks will be going around at Friday breakfast & Wednesday pizza night or you can call Mike W. (477-6203) and he will write you in. Just remember to save your ticket stub and parking receipt for reimbursement.

Thanks for all your help! See You There!!

Terry - PresidentPresident's message

On behalf of the Board of Directors I want to thank Mike Hauser for his over-the-top dedicated service to the Roamin Angels Car Club and to the Board as Events Director. Mike, you did an outstanding job and you will be greatly missed. However, in the usual Michael way he has agreed to continue updating and producing the monthly events calendar that comes with the newsletter. Thanks again, Mike.

For now, I will assume the duties as Events Coordinator for the Board. This means that I am the focal point for the membership to contact with any event or activity that needs to be added to the calendar. The Board has agreed that it will take a more pro-active role with events and will dedicate time at each of the Board meetings to discuss and help plan events for the membership to enjoy in 2014. I am hopeful that we will be able to recruit a member to take over all or some portion of these duties.

The plans for the upcoming Annual Membership Meeting on February 11th are finalized and it will be a fun and informative evening full of pizza, club reports and awards. Winnie V. has been hard at work putting together the new 2014 Membership Roster which will have some added features this year. You can pick up your new roster together with your 2014 Membership Cards as you enter the ballroom at the Grass Valley Elks Lodge on School Street in Grass Valley. As a reminder, you can park in the Bank of America parking lot adjacent to the Elks Lodge but not until after 5:00PM. The party/meeting begins at 6:00PM with a no-host bar and the pizza should be available around 6:20 to 6:30. The business meeting and awards will start as close to 7:00PM as possible.

In addition to your Membership package, each member will receive an Official Voting Ballot and a Membership Survey Form. This year there are two (2) candidates running to fill three (3) vacant positions on the Board. As usual there will be space for a write in candidate. The survey will cover three specific areas of concern.
– Events and Activities that you are interested in for 2014.
– The 2014 Club Christmas Party.
– The General Membership Meetings.
Ballot and Survey collection boxes will be available and Greg M. and George M. will supervise the collection of both and will count the election ballots. The election results will be announced later in the meeting. The survey results will be published as soon as they are available.

Dave G. has 20 trucks ready to show and shine at the 2014 AutoRama. Mike W. and Ash R. picked up the new engine from Riebe's last week and will have it installed and ready to go to AutoRama by the 14th. If you can spare 2-hours, cruise on down to CalExpo and sell some engine raffle tickets and the Club will reimburse you $15 per person. Please see Mike or Ash to sign up for this important kick-off for the 2014 Engine Raffle.

Enough Said – Don't Forget Valentine's Day – Keep All 4 on the Road
