4th of July Parade 2019

Continuing a tradition that began 118 years ago, Grass Valley hosted this year’s July Fourth parade.  It was in 1902 that an agreement was struck between Nevada City and Grass Valley to alternate the parade between the two communities.  Since then, Grass Valley has hosted the celebration on odd-numbered years and Nevada City on even-numbered years. Car Show, Beyond And More

Signed up for the combo General Meeting and Car Show Meeting on August 13th? I know a lot of you are. The gathering starts about 4:30pm at Condon Park. Come have a glass of a little something to ease the tensions. About 5pm the local cars and drivers from “The Great Race” will share their stories about the trek from Riverside to Tacoma. Summer 2019 Road Trips With Our Vintage Cars

Mike C., a former Roamin Angel member, asked a few of us if we wanted to take a Road Trip to a Car Show in Klamath Falls OR.  So, on June 28th, 8 couples and their vintage cars met at K-Mart here in Grass Valley and away we started off down Hwy 20 towards Corning where we would stop for our first pit stop and top off our fuel tanks. Bev And Jo Ann’s High Flying Adventure

At the Grass Valley Air Fest, Bev G.i and Jo Ann B. took a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and soared to the skies in a real WWII era B-25 J Mitchell Bomber.  Bev said, “It really was great and we had a super time! Grass Valley Air Show & Brew Fest

July 20, 2019 at the Nevada County Airport, Grass Valley. It was a gorgeous warm day. 18 Special Interest cars met at 7:30 am and cruised up together along with a few of the American Legion Riders to the Air Fest. Our cars were displayed between the hangers going into the tarmac area.  Four Convertibles were used to honor the WWII Veterans including our own, Ray Y. The Great Race – June 24 and Finish Line

Thank You to all the volunteers for helping out at The Great Race 2019.   Whether it was parking cars that were on display on Mill and Main Streets or the Great Race cars as they came in for their 45-minute lunch stop, directing traffic, giving out information and selling engine and jeep raffle tickets – it was greatly appreciated.
