4th of July Parade 2019

Continuing a tradition that began 118 years ago, Grass Valley hosted this year’s July Fourth parade.  It was in 1902 that an agreement was struck between Nevada City and Grass Valley to alternate the parade between the two communities.  Since then, Grass Valley has hosted the celebration on odd-numbered years and Nevada City on even-numbered years.

Ken M. in his 1940 Packard took Jason Fouyer and Family for a ride in the Parade. Also in the parade were Jack & Peggy L., Richard & Pat G. and the 3 Great Race Cars.  Lots of fun and the crowds clapped and cheered all the entries.

Congratulations! What a great day of celebrations!

The Nevada County Fourth of July celebration is co-sponsored by the Greater Grass Valley and Nevada City Chambers of Commerce and the Grass Valley Downtown Association.
