About 600 American and Foreign cars, boats, trailers and motorbikes displayed at the 20th Annual Cruisin the Pines Car Show! It was eye candy galore… And then if that wasn’t enough – Mr. Peanut and the Peanut Mobile, the Bumblebee 8ft Transformer, there were race cars courtesy of Riebes on display too! There were wonderful arts and craft vendors, an art show and commercial vendors to shop at. The Nevada County Fairgrounds was transformed to the ultimate Northern California Car Show Extravaganza!
Starting on Thursday before the Show even begins to open – Behind the scenes are the volunteer members who work hard to get everything set up before the vendors and before the car show participants arrive. From setting up trash cans, getting the tables and chairs and marking the parking areas. It’s a lot of work and the end result is very worthwhile.
On Friday, things are really starting to stir. The vendors get set up for the weekend show. Some of the car show participants start coming in. The BBQ is served and entertainment tunes up. It’s now a party! American and Import cars start pouring in. Vintage trailers get set up in the Trailer Village. Race cars, the Mr. Peanut Mobile, the 8ft Bumblebee Transformer are in position. The show is gearing up!
Sunday brought in the Gear Head Car Show within the main car show. Here, teens and young adults can bring the cars they’re working on and show them off. The award ceremony happens. There were about 50 awards given out…it was so difficult to pick out the winners! The Engine Raffle and the Jeep Raffle were also announced. It was a great car show thanks for all the volunteers but more to all of the car show participants. See you next September!
